The Savage Juliet originated as Scott Johnson and Kate Dwyer.
They performed their first show as a duo at the Cutting Room in Sept. 2002
which led to the recording of their first 10 song demo cd.
The recording was made in one room, on one day with drummer Chad Pearson
and bassist Scott Magin learning the songs in just a few rehearsals.
Music veteran Kathy Ziegler lent her piano/wurlizer skills for the recording as well.

Since February 2003 The Savage Juliet has been performing regularly on the
Lower East Side and Brooklyn circuit of clubs such as Pete's Candy Store,
Mercury Lounge, Sin-e's, Arlene's Grocery and Tonic.

In August they were chosen and featured by Time Out NY music critic David Thorpe
as a "Top live show", and are gaining interest in the U.K.
