1987-PRESENT:
á Comic book illustrator, sequential storyteller. Specializing in pencil and pen-and-ink. Credits include:
MARVEL COMICS (1987-Present):
*penciler/co-inker for ongoing monthly title The Avengers
(10 issues, 22 pages each. Penciled, inked, and colored 13 covers).
* penciler for ongoing monthly title Captain America
(30 issues, 22 pages each. Penciled and inked approx. 15 covers).
* Fill-in penciler/inker on various other titles, including X-Men,
Fantastic Four, The Avengers, Daredevil, et al.
* painter for 12 page story in Hellraiser anthology, based on popular Hellraiser motion pictures, created by best-selling author, Clive Barker. Painted several pin-ups and covers for various projects.
* writer/penciler of 22-page story in popular X-Factor comic book.
DC COMICS (1987-Present):
* penciler/inker for numerous Superman-related projects, most notably a 9-issue stint on the monthly title, Action Comics Starring Superman, and two high-end self-contained series starring alternate reality Supermen. The first, ElseworldÕs Finest, teamed Superman and Batman in the 1920Õs. The second, called Superman: The Dark Side, speculates on a world in which Superman is raised by a tyrannical despot who uses him as an instrument of evil. A critical and commercial success, the 3-issue series was collected in a trade paperback in mid-1999.
* penciler/inker for numerous Batman-related projects, notably a highly- regarded 3-issue storyline called ÒDark Knight, Dark City,Ó and a single-issue telling of RiddlerÕs origin (52 pages).
* penciler/inker on various DC titles, including two 4-issue series, Guardians of Metropolis and Lobo: Contract on Gawd.
* painter for covers of Lobo: Contract on Gawd series (acrylic on paper), penciler for interior of the same series ( 4 issues).
* penciler/inker on numerous stories for DC ComicsÕ imprint Paradox PressÕ Factoid series, including the Big Books of Weirdos, Urban Legends, Vice, and others. (Also employed use of Duo-Shade tonal paper on several of these).
IDW PUBLISHING (2004-Present):
* co-creator/artist on NIGHT MARY, an original 5-issue comic series about a teenage lucid dreamer fighting against a serial killer who commands the dreamscape of the sleeping mind. Available as a collected trade paperback. Currently optioned for feature film production.
* co-creator/artist on REMAINS, an original 5-issue comic series about zombies and a post-apocalyptic Adam and Eve. Available as a collected trade paperback.
AiT-PlanetLar (2002-Present):
* co-creator/artist on LAST OF THE INDEPENDENTS, an original graphic novel about two men, one woman, and a bank heist gone wrong. Currently optioned for feature film production.
Image Comics (2004-Present):
* co-creator, co-plotter, layouts and assorted covers on SEA OF RED, an original ongoing comic series about vampires, pirates, and the tricks that time plays on menÕs minds.

*Client: EA Games (Redwood Shores, CA). Storyboards and animatic for X-Level of James Bond video game.
*Client: TBWA/Chiat-Day (S.F.). Storyboards for several commercials for clients Handspring and Pets.com.
*Client: J. Walter Thompson (S.F.). Storyboards for several commercials for JWT client Sprint.
*Client: Commotion Pictures (S.F.). Storyboards for several commercials, including Sega Saturn, and several music videos, working with the video directors, notably Jerry Casale (director, numerous videos for popular MTV bands such as Soundgarden, Silverchair; founding member of New Wave music pioneers, DEVO.)
1990-1991:
*Client: Lamb-Bear Entertainment (L.A.). Full-color presentation storyboards for a proposed feature film to star international movie star, Christoph Lambert (Highlander, Subway, Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan). Approximately thirty pages of ink-and-color-marker pages (8 panels per page) illustrating two sequences from the script, a futuristic western a la Road Warrior. Worked closely with Adam Dubov, the screenplayÕs co-writer/proposed director, traveling to Los Angeles several weeks each month for about six months.

Animation:
2000-2001:
*Client: Wildbrain, (S.F.). With business partners Rick Remender and John Estes, I co-created, -wrote, -animated, -directed, -storyboarded, -sound-designed and supervised multiple employees on a 12 episode animated series called ÒSwing Town,Ó which won second place in the 2001 World Animation Celebration.

2005:
*Client: Picture Mill (L.A.). Illustrations featured in the opening and ending sequences, as well as the end credits crawl for the Disney film,
SKY HIGH.
1989:
*Client: NY ad firm, Pedone & Partners. Created full-color artwork for a packet given to shareholders of SweetÕnÕLow brand sweetener. Artwork included a wrap-around cover for the packet and several page-size illustrations included in the packet with other statistical info, sales data, etc.
1995-2002:
*Client: Academy of Art College (S.F.). Hired as an instructor for a new advanced course on Sequential Images/Graphic Storytelling, which I taught for several semesters. Responsible for designing curriculum and syllabus, creating assignments, instructing students in storytelling techniques, grading assignments, and giving final grades. Contact: Melissa Marshall, former head of Illustration Department. Since relocated to Los Angeles, apparently working for Disney. Lead several Directed Study programs for individual students.
